Armed bandits on motorcycles stormed into a farming village on Tues, spraying the individuals with gunshot, metropolis state police representative Gambo Isah aforesaid.
"They killed eighteen," Isah aforesaid.
That attack happened on at Yargamji village in Batsari district, some fifty kilometres (30 miles) from the urban center metropolis.
A protection militia from another village then pursued the bandits, ending in a very gun battle within the forest.
Police aforesaid the bodies of 2 militia members shot dead were brought back and buried from that fight, however residents aforesaid a lot of individuals were killed.
"We lost eleven people that visited fight the bandits within the bush," resident Sada Iro aforesaid.
