'Bamboo Stories' awarded at urban center film fest

   Filmmaker Shaheen Dill-Riaz receives BIM award from jury panel chairman for his documentary `Bamboo Stories` recently. Photo: CollectedBangladeshi picture show, 'Bamboo Stories', directed by Shaheen Dill-Riaz, has recently won a reward at the 67th urban center International festival in Italia.

Announcing the the BIM (Bacini Imbriferi Montani) award, the jury panel praised the film speech communication, "The playscript and storytelling of the film are glorious."

"Though Italia and Asian country are geographically terribly aloof from one another, the documentary reminds United States of America of the labourious lifetime of century-old woodcutters of mountain range," they additional.
A scene from documentary `Bamboo Stories`.Jointly created by Asian country and Germany, the 96-minute documentary zooms in on the lifetime of 5 men UN agency bog down bamboo within the remote woods of Moulvibazar's Juri and produce them to national capital through many rivers as rafts.

A scene from documentary `Bamboo Stories`.The film producer captures the 5 men's journey of around 3 weeks ranging from cutting the bamboo within the woods to the ride on bundles of bamboo and setting sail to move these to the traders in national capital.
Shaheen Dill-Riaz within the documentary followed the bamboo cutters Liakat, Byapari Nuru, Shahid and Siraj through their journey.
